My spring snapped - is that an emergency?

A broken torsion spring means the door is heavy and can be dangerous to force open by hand, so treat it as urgent, but it's not something that damages the house if it waits a few hours. Call and tell us it's a broken spring so we know to bring the right hardware.

Do you work on older doors from the 60s and 70s?

Yes - a lot of the housing in this area was built in that stretch, and original torsion hardware from that era is common. Some parts on those doors aren't stocked everywhere anymore, so there's occasionally a short order wait, but we work on them regularly.
