What We Do Not Take On
We don't quote major structural repairs - a door hanging on a warped or rotted frame - without seeing the opening itself, because no phone call can tell us what the wood or masonry behind the track looks like. We also won't give a firm number on a wood door with heavy panel damage until we've checked whether it's a repair or a replacement job; sometimes patching costs more than a new door and we'll say so.
Our service radius runs from close-in areas like Near North Valley and North Campus out to places like Cedar Crest, Tijeras, Sandia Park, and Placitas, all around 15 to 19 miles from our shop at 3901 Menaul Blvd NE. Past that, including areas further out than Bosque Farms or Peralta, we don't schedule quote visits - the drive time doesn't work for either of us.
We also don't work on commercial rolling steel doors or gate operators. If that's what you've got, we'll tell you that on the phone instead of sending someone out for nothing. And if a spring or part needs to be special-ordered because of an odd, older size, we'll say so up front rather than promise a same-day fix we can't back up.
